“Statistics state that 1 out of every 5 Americans suffer from the pain of musculoskeletal or neuromuscular conditions of the pelvic floor, hips and lower back.  That translates to millions of Americans suffering from some type of pelvic pain and pelvic floor dysfunction, and for most it goes unidentified and untreated,” says Dr. Grace.  “Additionally, over 25 million Americans are suffering from an involuntary loss of urine, and those over 50 often believe that it is just a part of aging they have to accept, but that really isn’t true. There are effective treatments for these conditions that can make all the difference.”

Myofascial Release consists of gentle sustained pressure into areas of fascial restriction. Fascia is the tough connective tissue that spreads throughout our body in one continuous web, connecting us from head to foot.

Trauma, inflammatory responses, and/or surgical procedures create myofascial restrictions that can produce tensile pressures on pain-sensitive structures. Myofascial Release treats the entire myofascial mind/body complex, eliminating the pressure of the restricted myofascial system for lasting and comprehensive results.
