Norma Ferrell is Vodder trained in Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD), a Reiki practitioner ,and NC and national licensed massage therapist. She is trained to work with people living with cancer. Norma has been practicing bodywork for 11 years, with 2 years experience at St. Joseph’s/Candler Hospital Integrative Medicine Dept. in Savannah, GA. She received her massage training at Medical Arts Massage School in Raleigh, NC and Vodder trained for MLD.
Norma offers MLD, Cancer Care Massage, Massage for Mastectomy and other Breast Surgeries, Swedish, Therapeutic Massage, Trigger Point, Reiki.
Therapeutic Massage: Massage therapists will use a number of different massage techniques for achieving stress reduction, relaxation, and pain relief. Techniques may include deep tissue massage, Swedish massage ands trigger point therapy.
Manual Lymphatic Massage: A safe, effective, gentle hands-on approach to cleansing the body’s tissues. MLD drains excess fluid from the tissues and also has a detoxifying effect. It can benefit a healthy person as well as be applied to more than 60 different conditions. MLD removes wastes, alleviates pain, relieves stress and supports the immune system. MLD helps the body heal more quickly from injuries, surgical trauma, chronic conditions and edema. It helps to minimize scar formation.
Swedish Massage: Relieves stress, relaxes muscles tissue and improves blood and lymph circulation. Strokes include kneading, gliding, and brisk tapping strokes applied to superficial and deeper muscle tissues. Pressure is light to medium. Often joint mobilization, assisted stretching, and movement is indicated in Swedish massage.
Reiki Natural Healing: An ancient and powerful form of healing which is applied with the hands by an attuned practitioner. Reiki Natural Healing addresses all levels of well-being: physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. It is highly effective for reducing stress, tension and pain and for promoting specific healing. Reiki renews, replenishes and brings vitality, clarity and peace of mind. It is safe to use in conjunction with other treatments and therapies to enhance the healing process.

Appointments and Fees
Massage work is fee-for-service only. Patients need to pay in full at the time of treatment. Patients receive a treatment receipt that they can submit to their insurance carrier if they have a plan that covers massage. Any reimbursement transactions are between the patient and insurance carrier.
