Remy Coeytaux, MD, PhD

Dr. Remy Coeytaux is a board-certified family physician who received his MD from Stanford Medical School, and his PhD in Epidemiology from UNC School of Public Health. He is a former Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholar. He was previously on faculty at UNC School of Medicine and is now an Associate Professor at Duke University School of Medicine. He is currently a Bravewell Collaborative Fellow in Dr. Andrew Weil's Integrative Medicine Program through the University of Arizona.

Scholarly Activities:
Dr. Coeytaux is a member of the faculty of the Duke Evidence-based Practice Center. He has conducted and published several randomized clinical trial (RCT) of acupuncture, and is currently co-principal investigator of an RCT of acupuncture in the treatment of menopausal hot flashes funded by the National Institute of Health (NIH)

Dr. Coeytaux offers individualized assessment, guidance, and support for addressing patients' health care concerns and goals. He draws upon his knowledge of modern, natural, and traditional approaches to health and healing to help his patients explore their options and prioritize steps towards better health.

Insurance and Appointment Fees

In network for Blue Cross Blue Shield, Duke Select, Duke Basic, and Medicare.

Patients with other insurance plans need to pay in full but the Center will file the insurance claim on patients' behalf. Any labs done onsite can be billed directly to any insurance company through LabCorp.

Cash payers: $150 for an initial 30 minute appointment. $120 for most follow-up appointments.
