SwissChiropractic Clinique

Dr. Pierre Dubois, an "America's Top Chiropractor 2009", and a Swiss Physician, brings a Swiss Approach to Chiropractic care in the Triangle area. He offers highly advanced Chiropractic treatments for pain resulting from car accidents, sports-related and personal injuries, as well as chronic neck and back pain, sciatica, shoulder pain and other joint and muscle mechanical dysfunctions. He is trained to treat traumatized bodies with gentle intervention with the Sigma Instrument Method as well as therapeutic exercises, functional, structural and postural rehabilitation.

In Switzerland where Dr. Dubois grew up and ran a successful practice for twenty years, chiropractic is a medical profession regulated on the same federal level as medical doctors, dentists and pharmacists. As is the case with every Swiss chiropractor, Dr. Dubois underwent six years of undergraduate basic studies followed by a minimum of two years of post graduate program regulated by the Swiss Medical Law MedBG/LPmed.

Dr. Dubois is also a Certified Sport Chiropractic Physician. Amongst his many patients were two world champions in Martial Arts (gold medalists in 2005 WMJA), one olympic flame carrier in 2004, multiple professional dancers, golfers and numerous soccer players, swimmers and athletes of all levels.

Dr Dubois moved to the United States in 2008 with his wife and children and now calls the U.S. and Chapel Hill his permanent and future home.

At SWISSCHIROPRACTIC our goal is to help our patients have a strong, healthy spinal structure that leads to increased function, better strength, less injury, and the ability to enjoy an active, pain free life. To achieve this goal, we use specific therapeutic techniques with the support of instrument adjustments. Chiropractic adjustment instruments are more precise than human hands. Adjustment instruments do not require twisting and turning of the spine which causes the popping and cracking sounds that typically accompany manual manipulation. This approach is safe and can be used to treat many types of patients, including pregnant women, children and seniors.

Being treated with an adjustment instrument has been described as feeling like a light tapping on the treated area. The treatment is usually painless, and most patients report reduced pain and greater mobility following adjustment.
