Dr. Alfred Covington is an allergy, asthma and immunology specialist with 20 years experience treating patients of all ages. He has been practicing in North Carolina for 15 years and has offices in Rocky Mount and Clayton. He is excited to be adding an office in Chapel Hill at the Center.

Dr. Covington received his undergraduate degree from Brown University in biology and his medical degree from The Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. He did a basic science research fellowship at the Wilmer Eye Institute at The Johns Hopkins Hospital. He completed his allergy, asthma and immunology fellowship at Howard Hospital, where he also served as director of the Adult Allergy Clinic and was an assistant clinical professor in the Allergy Division. While at Howard University Hospital, Dr. Covington conducted research on asthma in inner city children.

His wife, Cindy, and their four children live in Chapel Hill.
