Katie Dore, PA-CPrimary Care Physician Assistant Katie Dore is a primary care physician assistant with 15 years of health care experience, including both primary care and emergency medicine. She graduated from the Physician Assistant Program at Duke University as a physician assistant (PA-C) in 1991 and received a Masters in Health Science from Duke University in 1994. She has held a faculty appointment at Duke and served as a sub-investigator in clinical research. Katie is a graduate of the Integrative Medicine program directed by Andrew Weil, MD at Arizona University School of Medicine. The program includes both distance learning and on-site education. Primary Care Appointments Katie can serve as a primary care provider for adults 18 years of age and older. She will fully evaluate the medical needs of each patient at annual visits, handle acute or chronic needs, order labs, and refer to specialists as needed. Complementing her traditional training and expertise with a keen interest in integrative medicine, she can guide and partner with patients who are interested in integrating complementary or alternative therapies into their health care plans in a safe, efficacious, and cost-effective way.
