Dr. John Giusto practices integrative medicine where he works with the effects of lifestyle choices and environmental exposures as they interact with the structural, metabolic and control systems of the body. He took his basic training from the Institute for Functional Medicine and avidly seeks out effective and affordable treatment options for his patients. His main areas of concern are diet and bioavailable nutritional supplementation, stress reduction and mindbody balance, and detoxification, dysbiosis and chronic low-grade infections. Integrative Medicine Appointments With pain problems, Dr. Giusto brings the team approach into complementary and alternative medicine which can include working with naturopaths, osteopaths, chiropractors, acupuncturists, body workers, movement therapists, and energy healers. Dr. Giusto has training and experience with spinal injections, hands-on manipulation, exercise instruction, mindbody medicine, acupuncture and energy healing. He also uses the integrative medicine approach when dealing with any chronic problem, including chronic pain. Overall, Dr. Giusto prefers not to rush into “doing” but to spend more time listening and seeking to understand.
